Active Shooter Responder
Prerequisite requirement: Successful complete of the Level II Handgun training class
This course is focused on developing tactical shooting skills to safely mitigate an active shooter incident. Case studies of active shooter incidents will be discussed, focusing on lessons learned. Topics covered include handling weapons in a crowd, using cover properly, surgical shooting and preparing for the police response will be presented. Students will also be placed in live-fire and simulated decision making and target discrimination scenarios.
